Hello, my name is Camila Ana Ballester and I am a rising Producer, having worked in roles such as Director, 1AD, 2AD and script supervisor.
Through hands-on experience and exploration, I discovered my passion for Producing. I find great fulfillment in bringing a crew together to transform creative visions into reality. I love the intricate process of organizing, coordinating, and nurturing a production from development through to post-production. I deeply value the evolving nature of projects and the attention to detail required at every stage. This passion has led me to pursue a long-term career in Producing, with a particular interest as a Line Producer, Production Coordinator and Floor Producer.
My time as a Department Head- whether as Director or 1AD- taught me the unique demands and workflows of various roles on set. This insight helps me better support my team, anticipate their needs, and ensure they have the tools and resources required to thrive. I believe in fostering a positive, collaborative, and respectful environment—especially under tight schedules—because a comfortable and united crew makes for the best kind of filmmaking. I strive to create sets that feel like a family, where creativity and professionalism can coexist to bring beautiful stories to life.
I have done internships in broadcasting and commercial productions, have also made my own short films, worked on a feature film and music videos, I enjoy being part of the industry due to the massive variety of work and ways to bring a creative vision to life.

Recent filming journey
Filmed from July 2nd–4th, "The Crow that Flew West" is my 12-minute graduation film for the BA in Practical Filmmaking at the London Film Academy. Currently in
Post-Production, this final project, became a personal milestone.
Co-producing for the first time taught me how to communicate, stay organised, and share responsibilities as part of a team.
With only £3,150 in funding, we faced big limitations. To bridge the gap, I launched an Instagram campaign and GoFundMe, raising an extra £780 through reels and behind-the-scenes content.
This experience sparked a passion for film marketing and showed me the power of storytelling both on and off screen. I'm deeply grateful for how much I’ve grown as a producer.

“Who Hired Grandma?” is a commercial created for Xbox’s powerful new tagline: “When everybody plays, we all win.” This spot celebrates the universal accessibility of gaming, showcasing that video games are truly for everyone—regardless of age, background, or experience. I had the incredible opportunity to produce this piece, which brings to life a vibrant, comedic world inspired by the classic 'stealth-action' style of gameplay. With humor, heart, and a touch of mischief, this commercial highlights the joy, inclusivity, and lighthearted spirit of gaming—reminding us that fun knows no boundaries.

Director Statement
Stories of internal struggles have always deeply resonated with me. They remind us that we’re not alone in facing life’s complexities, making the journey more relatable and comforting. Ella’s Aria explores the inner conflict many women face when navigating self-worth in the context of career ambitions versus traditional domestic roles—a tension that became particularly pronounced in the late 1960s.
This film is a reflection on the diverse paths women take and the importance of not judging those choices, especially our own. Even choosing comfort and stability, such as dedicating oneself to the home, can be an act of strength and dignity. I’ve seen this firsthand in the admirable choices of women like my mother, who embraced the role of homemaker with grace.
With Ella’s Aria, I hope to spark conversations about self-acceptance and the value of every choice a woman makes for herself.

Producer
"YOU" was released on April 11th, 2025, marking the most ambitious and rewarding project of my journey as a Producer to date. Collaborating closely with an artist to translate their musical vision into a powerful visual narrative was a transformative experience—one that deepened my appreciation for the art of filmmaking. This project illuminated how cinema can amplify music, weaving sight, sound, and emotion into a cohesive, visceral experience. From concept to final cut, "YOU" taught me how storytelling in this medium doesn’t just complement the music—it elevates it, speaking not only to the ears but to the heart and the imagination.

'Day in the Life' IB Film class assignment. This was inspired by Edgar Wrights jump cuts with extreme audio and I took inspiration of the extreme colors and set design that Wes Anderson has. My role here was screenwriter and editor.
